Why Donate?

Every burro we welcome into our care comes with a story—and a chance for a new beginning. Whether they’re wild, rescued, or somewhere in between, our goal is to provide these animals with the gentling, training, medical care, and love they need to thrive.

Your support helps us fill the hay feeders, fuel the grain bins, cover vet costs, and make sure every burro has the chance to go from hesitant to hopeful. It also helps us extend a hand to animals in need when others call on us for help.

No donation is too small—every dollar goes directly toward care, compassion, and creating forever homes.

Famous Shamus Farm is on a mission to change the lives of donkeys - and the people who care for them. Hearts & hooves is our very first fundraising campaign, launched to support the essential work of gentling, training, and rehoming both domestic and wild donkeys.
Your support directly fuels our work:
* Providing hands-on training and care for donkeys of all backgrounds.
* Building trust through gentle, humane methods.
* Educating adopters, volunteers, and the public on compassionate, effective ways to work with donkeys.
This fundraiser marks the beginning of something big. With your help, Famous Shamus Farm can lay a strong foundation to continue to work and expand our reach to help more donkeys in need. Help us bring together hearts & hooves to create a brighter future. This fundraiser marks the beginning
